Ruby B. McBee Walston, 84 of Woodville, passed away, Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Dogwood Trails Manor Nursing Home in Woodville, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 6th at 11:00am at Campground Baptist Church with burial in Campground Cemetery under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville. Officiating will be Dr. Raymond A. Parker and Brother Matt Turner. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Walston, Mike Toliver, Chip Toliver, Benjamin Duckworth, Bosch Gallups and Caleb Gallups.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 5th from 4:30 – 7:00pm at the funeral home.

Ruby was born January 4, 1926 to R.T. McBee and Ocie Beatrice Patton McBee in Saratoga, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Tyler County and had worked for First Baptist Church Day Care Center for many years. She was a member of Campground Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents. R.T. & Ocie McBee; husband, J.T. Walston, Sr. and brothers, T. E. McBee and C. R. McBee.

Ruby is survived by daughters, Rebecca Walston Duckworth of Woodville, Elizabeth Walston Toliver & husband Michael of Port Arthur, and Bridgette Walston Tannehill & husband Jay of Rocklin, California; sons, J.T. Walston, Jr. & wife Carol of Granbury and Richard Walston & wife Cheri of Orange; special sons, Matt Turner and Louis Reyes; brothers, H.A. McBee & wife June of Decker's Prairie, D. G. McBee & wife Maxine of Gause, W. L. McBee & wife Shirley of Livingston; sister, Mary Ann McBee Fourniquet of Magnolia; sisters-in-law, Joyce McBee of Houston and Edith Nell McBee Shirley of Huntsville; grandchildren; Jarrett & Chris Gallups, Chip & Veronica Toliver, Benjamin & Jacqueline Duckworth, Jessica & Chris Williams, Kristal & Jeffery Voth, Rachel Walston, Angela Tannehill, Sarah Tannehill, Keegan Smith and Keelie Smith; great grandchildren, Bosch & Charlie Gallups, Caleb Gallups, Haleigh Voth, Braden Gallups, Alexander Voth, Judah Gallups, Zander Duckworth, Zane Duckworth, Zaida Duckworth, Sidney Sandavoll, and Stella Marberry; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville.
